Six years ago, BookWarehouse started with a very simple idea.

Take great books.

Bundle them together.

Offer them at prices that almost anyone could afford.

That was the mission then.

And honestly, it’s still the mission today.

Over the years we’ve released thousands of collections and helped readers build libraries that would normally cost thousands of dollars to assemble one book at a time.

Some of you have been with us for years.

Some of you have purchased dozens of collections.

And some have purchased almost everything we’ve ever released.

To all; thank you.

One thing I’m particularly proud of is that most of our standard collections are still around the same $9 they’ve been since the beginning.

Now let’s be honest.

The world looks very different than it did six years ago.

The cost of storage, hosting, software, acquisitions, backups, maintenance, and all the other boring behind-the-scenes things that keep BookWarehouse running has gone up dramatically.

In many cases, it’s double what it used to be.

Now, the obvious solution to rising costs would be to simply raise prices.

Most businesses would.

In fact, most businesses already have.

And honestly, nobody would blame us if we did the same thing.

But that’s where we run into a dilemma.

Because the mission isn’t to sell books.

The mission is to make books affordable.

The moment we start pushing our standard collections from $9 to $15, $20, or more, we start moving away from the mission that got us here in the first place.

We don’t want to do that.

We want people who love reading to be able to build incredible libraries without spending a fortune.

So instead of raising prices across the board, we’re trying something different.

We’re asking you, our loyal readers, for a little support.

Not a donation.

Not a handout.

Just support.
